Oakland Arena Welcome to Oakland Arena

Oakland Arena
Home of the Golden State Warriors

The Arena in Oakland is fittingly titled after the city in which it resides - Oakland, California. Thousands of fans pack the arena full during each NBA game as the Golden State Warriors compete on their home turf. Cameras are permitted, but the use of a flash is not. So, if you want to snap that special photo, don't forget to turn off the flash. In addition, video and audio equipment are not permitted during any event.

The official groundbreaking ceremony was held in 1964. Originally constructed as The Oakland Coliseum Arena in 1966, the facility underwent a $120 million renovation project in which a large portion of the old arena was demolished and a new facility was constructed with the remaining walls, roof and foundation. The extensive project began in 1996 and one year later, in 1997, marked the return of the Golden State Warriors to their new arena. Throughout the year, the Warriors make special autograph appearances for various events, sponsors and fan opportunities. If attending, bring an item to be signed and a camera too, of course. Fans who are unable to attend a live autograph event are welcome to mail their requests to: Golden State Warriors, Attn: Player/Coach Name, 1011 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94607

Among the many amenities at The Arena in Oakland are the exclusive clubs that members can visit during each game. For example, Courtside and Sideline Club members are invited to attend several special event club nights at various times through the season. Opportunities include contests and giveaways, special appearances, photo opportunities and more. Speaking of which, Courtside Club members are invited to the Courtside Club via unlimited access at Warrior games. The club location is on the Event Level of the facility and is a gathering place for members before, during and after each home game.

The Corona Cantina Sports Club is an exclusive membership for Courtside and Sideline Club members, as well as those who hold Luxury Suite tickets. This facility is located on the west side of the facility and features gourmet dining, television monitors and a relaxing atmosphere during all times of the game.

The Arena in Oakland offers 72 luxury suites, which are located on two levels of the facility. Comfortable seats, great views and exclusive access to clubs are among a few of the amenities offered to luxury suite ticket holders.

The arena's concessions are available to the public and offer a wide variety of food and refreshments during each game. Because food may not be brought into the arena, fans often decide to partake of a pizza, BBQ, salad or sandwich while enjoying the action.

Fans who are in search of the perfect collectible, officially licensed apparel or other souvenirs, will likely stop by The Warriors Arena Team Store, which is located at the Plaza Entrance of the arena. The store is only open on game days, so be ready to shop for your gear when the Warriors play at home.
