ARCO Arena
Home of the Sacramento Kings
ARCO Arena is the leading sports and entertainment venue in Sacramento. Nestled in the state of California, ARCO Arena hosts more than 200 spectator events annually making it one of the busiest sports venues in the nation. Last year alone, over 2 million fans from Northern and Central California visited ARCO Arena for events ranging from NBA basketball games to concerts featuring world-recognized music artists Elton John, Garth Brooks and the Rolling Stones.
ARCO Arena opened it's doors in 1988 as a $40 million, 442,000 square foot facility that was built without the use of a penny of taxpayer's money. The arena's current capacity is 17,317 and can host a wide range of events, including anything from ice dancing to monster truck rallies. While it's versatility lends a hand to the major fan attraction, much of the facility's support comes from thousands of NBA fans that pack the arena each year. The Sacramento Kings are proud to call Arco Arena their home, as are the WNBA's Sacramento Monarchs. Among the many events held in these walls, ARCO Arena has twice hosted the NCAA Western Regional Men's Basketball Tournament.
Fans who are in search of the perfect collectible, apparel or other game gear will likely find their way to the Arco Arena Team Store, which is located on the Concourse Level near Section 102 inside the arena. Items ranging from officially licensed jerseys, shirts and other apparel to rare collectibles and souvenirs line the shelves in this quaint shop. Fans can enjoy browsing daily, including during home games, for a lot of fun items.
There's nothing like hot dogs at a sporting event, but when your appetite calls for a little something more, The Skyline restaurant is located inside ARCO arena and features a variety of cuisine choices, as well as desserts. Fans who visit The Skyline will not miss a minute of the action because they are will have a terrific view of the live game taking place just below them. The Skyline Restaurant offers a nice view while fans quench their appetite.
Every fan would love to have an autograph of their favorite basketball star, but finding the right time to ask in person can be difficult. The Sacramento Kings and Monarchs players often schedule in-person autograph opportunities but, for fans who cannot attend, there is still hope. Send your request, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, to: Player/Coach Name, c/o ARCO Arena One Sports Parkway, Sacramento, CA 95834.
