Turner Field Welcome to Turner Field

Turner Field
Home of the Atlanta Braves

Turner Field, also known as "Home of the Braves" because of it's Atlanta Braves tenants, opened with it's inaugural game in April 1997. With a seating capacity of over 50,000 fans, Braves fans pack in to a facility that features an atmosphere of vintage baseball styling combined with modern amenities. Turner Field features a number of amenities, which include constant game updates via the BravesVision video board, the PlazaVision board and more than 500 television monitors throughout the facility. While inside the ballpark, fans are often prompted to do the tomahawk chop with the 27 ft. neon tomahawk, which is located atop the video board.

The playing field, at Turner Field, is comprised of prescription athletic turf featuring a drainage system and hybrid Bermuda grass. There are three levels of seating, the Field-level, Lexus level and upper level. The second level, or the Lexus level, features 58 private suites and the 755 Club, which is Turner Field's private membership club. The third level provides fans with a spectacular view of downtown Atlanta. Among the many memorable events at Turner Field was the 1996 Summer Olympic games. Fans can learn more about the history of Turner Field and the ballclub at the Braves Museum and Hall of Fame. Located on the grounds at Turner Field, the facility features over 500 braves artifacts dating back to 1871. The museum is open all year and is one of the stops of the Turner Field tours. These guided tours visit, among others, a luxury suite, the press box, broadcast booth, dugout, Scouts Alley, the clubhouse locker room and The Plaza.

Another specialized area of Turner Field is Tooner Field. Presented by Cartoon Network, this brand new $3.4 million project features a cartoon themed baseball area for children who wish to challenge their skills at a combination of familiar cartoon characters and baseball. Tooner Field measures over 13,000 sq. ft. and is one of the newest additions here at Turner Field.

From tall to small and young to old, there is something for every fan at Turner Field. Whether it be enjoying a nice game of baseball, touring the historic Braves Museum or watching the joy of your child as he/she indulges in Tooner Field, it's sure to be a fun day for everyone. The great American pastime of baseball is no longer just a day at the ballpark, but is now a complete experience filled with fun, learning, history and yes - even hotdogs.
